Early morning cup final day. used to be a tradition for families to watch this event whether they had a team in it or not. Mates`d get together at the pub, get a few beers round home etc. it was the crowning glory on the season.
now thanks to Scudamore etc. & a series of mainly foreign johnny managers the cup has been given the same treatment as the dear old watney cup.
4 prem games on before it, then the final, then more prem games the next day... blink & you`ll miss the b*****d.
Not that i`m that keen on watching this final, but i well remember seeing Neil young smack in Man citys last winner in this event, remember astle scoring for the boring baggie scumbags in `68. There was always a touch of fantasy & history about Cup final & cup final day... now it`s thrown between a series of games between overpaid tarts snoggin` each other on a football field... but the less said about brooking & scudamore the better
Thanks for nowt, you jumped up premier league t**ts

Hmmmm, i sat & watched the final. Not overly inspiring but i watched it as a personal throwback to when the final actually meant summat.
Unfortunately all i did for most of the game was reveal my dislike of that mardy argy shit tevez.

Yes agree. Cup Final day not the same as it used to be. In fact the whole FA Cup now has changed so much. Televised games means games are staggered all over the weekend. We no longer have semi finals at Villa Park or you know where Remember when the FA Cup draw was on the radio on Monday lunchtimes after each round? Replays a couple of days later? Between them the FA, TV and the authorities have diluted the thing down.
