So Brooks has gone... the agent has upped his personal income by getting a jolly good percentage out of his new client. Sorry to see him go but if we have 10 million quid up front to spend on new players it could be a handy income.
Brighton supposedly want O`Connell for a pittance. We need Jack, he suits our system, even though as an overlapping centre back he tends to miss a few chances up front !!!. We`d miss him, hope he stays.

England look ok but only with Harry M, Kyle W and Harry Kane in the side... Harry Maguire has looked tops from 10 minutes in his first game till now, he has been immense

This Sam Gallagher thing seems to be gathering pace, not sure his stats add up but that was the same when deano joined us, so hopefully Chris Wilder has seen summat there. Impressed with Harry, Kyle obiously a little uncomfortable in the back3. The Swedes will look to put pressure on Kyle. Colombia, well good riddance.

& a quaint little friendly against Inter Milan to look forward to an` all !
getting to stage we should start seeing some transfers in, we need them to gel and we still need depth to go with some needed pace ... and height at the back (and for corners). Fringe players like Lafferty , Leonard, Ched and Lundstram looked mainly out of their depth when they turned out last season... we either need better or more from them.
interesting few weeks ahead !!

Well after dispatching Stocksbridge in our first pre season work out on friday 5-1( Scotlands finest 1, Sir Billy 2, Smith and Lavery)....
The Blades influence gets England through to the semi finals.... Harry immense and a thumping goal, Kyle`s pace stopped Sweden several times. 2 great performers... oh and the rest did ok and Pickford saved a couple :-)

Nice win over in Portugal thanks to a late Ched goal... Henderson remains the only signing so far as our two dopey owners wrestle like kids over the family jewels.

and England unlucky out of World cup, should`ve been home and hosed by half time, poor misses from Harry Kane, and a midfield that proved just a little too weak in the end, when we Nationalise Fleck to English, problem solved. Croatians cocky little sods and the overrated little rat Modric was drooled over by the media, why?, if that`s supposed to be the World`s best midfielder then Dennis Longhorn has a shout as a footballing God.
And a real God, TC is due to have the South Stand names after him, I like it. Then again maybe the Currie/Woodward Stand may have been a touch better.

So we`ve signed Egan, who played a game for us on loan in the sorry little episode that a stupid cresswell own goal caused... 2 up v, oldham and he dived to get the header home which started all sorts of arguments and silly tantrums and we lost our defence for a good deal of that game and the trip to the wild life of walsall town. We lost 3-2... I hope Egan`s second coming is more fruitful but at least the ghost of richard cresswell no longer haunts the team.
Other than that, striker bids but other clubs wanting the Earth plus Buzz Aldrins foot print. I think other clubs think we are loaded, just loaded with a small minded board and owners if the past 51 years is anything to go by.

So, a 1-1 draw with Inter Milan followed by a 2-0 win at continental tropical Doncaster. McGoldrick had signed and scored a couple of goals, Our Billy keeps on scoring and we remain unbeaten pre season.
But still need a nippy forward and a couple of other pacey lads to complete a side capable of promotion... we have to shoot more instead of fannying about a bit an` all !!!
expecting a couple more signings before swansea.
