I do, I just hate it! We are not near enough to England to follow cricket, except the Tests, which we get live - in the night. There is no football at this end of the world until about October (and then it's Australian "A" League). There's no football in the UK, and we are hearing nothing about new players, getting rid of the dross, etc. No excitement of our Danny chasing stars (he may be an astronomer), no movement at the Lane except relaying the pitch. That make for lirttle news and views on this Board too. Come on Fred, Bladder, Goldenslew, Ivanhoe, pommpey, dellas, etc - make my old life a little more exciting by your comments!!!!!!! I need TO KNOW!!!!! What's happening? Bladenz - exiled in NZ!  |

Here tha goes.... bit of gossip to really whet the slavver chops, anyone who has played for the might of guingamp & falkirk must be an exceptional talent.
Skysports.com understands that Danny Wilson has lined up a move on his former club Swindon as he is set to make Lescinel Jean-Francois his first signing at Sheffield United.
The 24-year-old played for Wilson for two seasons at The County Ground and impressed during his time in Wiltshire.
The Haitian international is out of contract with Swindon and is set to reject their offer to extend his stay.
Instead, Jean-Francois is set to link-up with Wilson at Bramall Lane, rejecting offers from the Championship to move to the Steel City.
The defender joined Swindon from Guingamp, after previously played in Scotland with Falkirk.
er, yep it`s a bugger wi` out Blades action i agree, but then we haven`t seen much of the Blades in action for 2 year.... more like The Blades in, er, inaction.

Mandarine has been in court all week, he is faced with charges that could see him being deported ;D If Kevin McCabe farts near a bus stop, it is front page news, but this piggy basterd is up to his neck in it with the authorities, and the Sheffield Star has chosen to completely ignore it!  That full back is meant to be useful. I mean he must have something about him to play for Haiti afterall........... |

You will be pleased to know Bladenz, that we dont want JP McGovern back. He was sheite when he was here first, and at 28 he still is!
We dont want Mattock or Lowry back, but we are up against it keeping hold of Slew.
Its pretty queit mate to be fair. Fees what we want for certain players have been revealed by the Sheffield Star but read into them what you will - I assume they include VAT;-

The Haiti lad could be a boon, providing he`s well up on his voodoo. Always handy to have a player able to shrink the head of the opposing striker.
Think those figures above look about right for the players, though McCabe will accept £50 for the lot.
Doyle is the exception i can see barcelona offering more than that.

Thanks, lads, at least all these are something to think about. It's winter here, raining most of the time, and any football gossip I can read helps to pass the time. Don't know where you lads dig it up from - I thought it was football papers, but from the above it sounds like the High Court News!Love the bit about the voodoo guy - perhaps all the Blades fanes will be issued with dolls and pins to stick in them.

Ive sat in the John Street for 17 years and no one ever walks up to me and tells me who the manager is going to buy!
I dont want to get peoples hopes up here, far from it! But I know for a fact that Danny Wilson has spoken to Kevin Phillips on Friday. I dont know anymore than that, dont get your hopes up as he is speaking to alot of clubs but we have definaely spoken to him regarding getting him in.

Good news on TV this morning - I see that Jack Warner the FIFA Vice-President has resigned before he got pushed! The reporter said that the trickle of complaints about this guy over many years has developed into a flood, and he's got out while he can. In two books I read, he is suspected of dirty dealings - I'll bet he's retired as a rich man!

That man is one of the most curropt people on this planet - I want to know what they found on him that made his pass his resignation through at the drop of a hat!
Now they can start on Blatter, but I bet we havent heard the last of this Jack Warner! Funny, in Lybia they are trying to bomb one man that is bent, on the other that wears a suit, they shake his hand!
Boggy is supposedley on his way to the Dingles/ Ipswich and Burnley are the clubs being mentioned. You cant have players like him in the Championship. He is alright if you are top 6 Championship, maybe even premiership as a last 10/15 minute sub but he is far too inconsistant to be a regular.

Good to know that it's not really silent in this time of year. We could expect more excitement when the season open again. I love ripleys fanzone but this time I hope to be able to watch at least one games live from where it's happening. Cheers!
