Hmmm, poor start, came into it, sloppy possession given away but probably had 6 decent chances fluffed to swanseas tame shot on goal.
Was crying out for Freeman to enter the game from early on, we wanted men who could take a player on . Sander did as game went on but had an uneasy first 20. Put Sander or this Vieira Chappy in Norwood`s position and give Freeman a chance to create. Burke alas is talented but has a brain which is mostly stuck in the off position.
I Really like McGoldrick, top player, definitely premier standard but sadly his shooting/heading at times can look very muddy Graves Park on a hungover sunday morning.
Despite fans saying we weren`t creative, David had a few decent chances which he turned from easyish into waywardish. Billy, Sander and Rhian all set him up well. twice McGoldrick should`ve passed to an unmarked Billy, twice he selfishly took the wrong option.
Billy had a header under pressure and Rhian got under, instead of over, hitting his first time lash into Simonsen territory. We had the chances, Swansea had virtually nil despite more possession. A blocked shot by Robinson and a save by Ramsdale, that should`ve been saved and was.
We can get a whole lot better though, and that`s the frustration, too much wasted ball and alas dear old Norwood, who is so good with time, isn`t when he has little of it.
We`ve played an ugly side in Brum who fouled to stop our momentum, now we`ve played an ineffectual possession based side who fouled or fell to the ground to stop our momentum. It`s made for a poor watch, but we have to combat this better as the referees are blatantly shite, take sides and gives fouls, as they do in the premier, for the loudest scream, not for any physical contact.
Ah well, onto West bromwich albion, another of the grotty clubs brigade, another who haven`t played any football since Cyriile Regis banged in his last goal for `em.... I expect more of what we`ve already seen
Hope we are up for it !
