I just had the misfortune to walk in & watch the England second half.
We are 2-1 up against Montenegro, no trouble. Then Capello gets a talking from his imaginary friend & alter ego Kevin Blackwell
KB: "too much pace with that lad Young out there, get some lethargy in that middle"
CAP: " But i already have barry & parker in slow motion?"
KB: "Look you daft wop, stop getting all romanic & find a way to get Downing & lampard on to totally stifle any midfield pace, I`d also encourage you to play left backs on the right wing, But your positioning of Jones at right back was a master stroke of incompetence so that`ll do for now"
CAP: "Hmmm, Lamps & one footer Downing on, no pace down the wings no pace in the middle. sounds good to me KB"
KB: "Don`t you know it cappy old lad, and another thing, when you`re picking the squad for the finals keep away from pace at the back too, don`t bother with Jags, don`t bother with Cahill who looks like he`s lost it, Terry isn`t the man, but i`ll give you the name of a player who should be first on your team list, he was on mine, goes by the name Nosworthy..."
I`ll never get that 45 minutes back but at least England are thru`, but this Capello loves old slow duffers & until he stops usuing `em to stifle us, we are going to get these struggles.
