Just heard the Dingles Chairman talking to Radio Sheffield about the Adam Hamill transfer to Wolves and although I hate the Dingle with a passion, I can help feeling they've been screwed big time. Adam Hamill came to them with his agent and asked a clause to be put in his contract or he'd sign for Leeds. The clause was a financial trigger and if any club came in with a bid for this amount, Hamill would be allowed to talk to them. The agent dictated to the Dingles the valuation of the clause, which in my view is wrong.
The agent, having known the clause from the outset that would trigger Hamill's release, is clearly something that he shouldn't be privvy to. He knew the exact figure that a club would have to bid to release Hamill from the Dingles and thus, he'd gain financially from getting a fee for the move. I think this sort of behaviour by agents and players in reprehensible and should be outlawed. It's hard enough for clubs at our level to hold onto our best players and to lose them for next to nowt is a travesty, and shouldn't be allowed to happen.
Agents should be taken into a field and shot!

I agree - agents are parasites in football. They don't do owt for nowt, and they certainly don't do it for the love of the game. I am with you, SOC and Muttley - get rid!
