Awful news concerning our Billy
Doncaster Rovers’ former Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp will be absent from his side’s Championship game with Middlesbrough tonight due to the death of his two-day-old son.
Sharp was ruled out of the 1-1 draw with Coventry last weekend due to an unspecified “family issue” but it was revealed by the club today that Louie Jacob Sharp passed away on Saturday.
At the request of team-mates, Doncaster’s players will lead supporters in a minute’s applause before the Middlesbrough game to celebrate the short life of Sharp’s son.
