Signed in on a free 2 and a half year deal from Coventry. From what I can remember is a Monty-type midfielder. www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10418~2275942,00.html

I have backed Micky Adams from day 1,but his latest signing Doyle, fills me with doubt concerning Adams. I have seen Doyle play many times over the last few seasons and he is EXACTLY the type of player we DONT want. We dont want any more competitive types. We already have them, and maybe cant get rid of them. We want someone who can open up a defence like Reid can. A complete waste of wages. The player is not even average. You have to sign quality players Adams,or keep the cash in the bank. BAD bad signing (hope its a loan)

I can see it being a good signing if it`s combined with bringing in a Reid type player (i see Tonge`s name has been mentioned in dispatches)
No good having too many cloggers & wallop it before you think players in the middle, they`ve set us back many a season.
Another week till leicester, surely this is the time to get a lad in & bed him into the team so all is set for the season onward.
We owe leicester, Goran-Erikssons influence on a particularly thick & starry eyed ref gave `em an undeserved draw at their heap, losing us a costly 2 points.
I want to see Sven grabbing what`s left of his alarmingly astonishing receding hairline (only McCarthy at wolves has a more backward one) throughout the 90 minutes.

As long as he's more Kevin Doyle than Mrs Doyle!

I can appreciate why Adams has brought in Doyle, he wants a leader on the pitch and being captain at Coventry since 2003, he has got the right man for the job. It is interesting how Britton was the first out of the door and Micky's first permanent signing is a tough tackling midfield battler. I suspect Britton didn't fit into MA's long term plan and I have to agree, Britton was an expensive and often poorly utilised luxury player. I'd like to see us rebuild with some technically gifted players, but not until we're out of the relegation dogfight. I'm all for playing football, but in our situation, we have to scrap and battle our way out of trouble and I don't think we'd have done that with Britton in the side.

Still got to make goals and I think Reid would be the icing on the cake
