Old Man Utd supporting friend (he`s actually FROM Manchester too) gave me book to read on Alex Ferguson, i don`t actually give a flying plichard about AF but felt obliged to read it as this bloke went to so much trouble to lend it me. So i read it.....

"Football - Bloody Hell" Biography of Alex ferguson by Patrick Barclay.

If bollocks can be rated as bad then this is a ten bollocker. Moans & groans & tries to contradict everythin AF said in his autobiography & yet this Patrick Barclay can`t get simple football facts right his sen ie: "pele scored a hat tirck in the 1958 world cup final" did he chuff, only hat trick in a WC Final is by sir geoffo Hurst, only a scots git would get that wrong.

Beware, this book is fit for bog roll only, BUT page 172 has one interesting fact. AF is doing well at aberdeen in the 3rd division north league (scotland) but fancies a move to England .......... "In 1981 he was offered £40,000 a year by Sheffield United who had just been relegated to the fourth division. He took more seriously the advance of wolves.... etc.""

The fool!!, he doesn`t know what he missed out on!, ignorant big jessie. Thank goodness he left us alone, years of trophy wins would`ve left us blase about winning.

Actually Porterfield who we did sign in the end, did a pretty good job in those first few years in charge, re-signing Edwards, adding Morris & promotions up to the second div. before brain rot set in.

The book seems biased, obviously AF shat on the writer at some point in their dealings, but it does seem if your flavour of the month he loves you, if he has no need for your friendship he is a total b*****d toward you.

I`d take Billy McEwen over him anytime***
