Now Cresswell and Taylor are crocked for weeks. Mixed news I suppose, shame about Creswell but now a move for a decent defender is an absolute priority!

I see we have signed two Irish youths ! Anyone any idea where they play and whether they are any good? Bladenz

McAllister is a midfielder and Conneely is a right-back from memory.

Think the activity during the transfer window will be very interesting and I just hope the purse strings are loosened enough for MA to bring in x2 defenders at the very least. I won't be too concerned if one or possibly two leave to free up wages, but we're desperately in need of some solid defenders. Nos and Bartley have been very poor this season and if we do bring anyone in, I hope those two are only used as cover for injury/suspension. If we don't make some effort to rebuild the squad, I fear we may be looking at a very nervy end to the season.

Cresswell`s showings this season have been about as thrilling as a slug poking out your lettuce.
with the added insult in that the slug probably has a better heading ability.
No loss there apart from putting competition on for places.
I hope these Irish lads are quality, here`s hoping they are more Billy Gillespie (google: Blades star of the past) than steve mckee (google: talentless bloody shite ex Blade)

Nowt wrong wi` getting old & crusty, whereas i`d swear & moan & have a temper fit at The Blades incompetence when i were younger, now i`m older,... i swear, moan & have a temper fit at The Blades incompetence.
Basically nothing changes does it as far as The Blades are concerned. Just that with Blackie in charge, & his legacy, moaning having fits & swearing are necessities in disengaging the brain explosion he brings on.

Now there you have me, Muttley. I am sure that Fred's parents are extremely proud of him, crusty or not! I believe that beneath that crusty exterior beats a heart of gold, and he's a true Blade from many years back, isn't he?

Er, i`m sure my parents ARE very proud of me, well if they weren`t barking mad, spend all day slavvering into their porridge & chips and shouting about Neville Chamberlain being a shit pope & all that...
But the buggers were responsible for us living in Woodseats & therefore responsible for me being a Blade, so i blame a life of ups & downs totally on that. But there`s nowt better than being a Blade, trust me.

You had to be hard to survive Woodseats school! You had hairs on yer chest by the age of 10!
Not to mention the hairy bollocks!

Actually bladder, I went to Abbey Lane and was the first one to get the hairy chest etc......and had the piss taken out of me for a considerable time.

Abbey Lane?. that were for toffs, you class traitor!.
Not sure what year Bladder went to Woodseats but hairy bollocks wasn`t a prerequisite of being at the junior school in my day. The occasional scrap amongst the old air raid shelters most definately was of course, and laughing at the spoilt oiks from abbey lane!..
then as, Mutts says, along came Rowlinson (cue jaws music)

My memories must be growing dim, like me, but when I was a lad the standard of excellence we had to meet was being able to pee over the wall in the bogs. Mind you, I also went to a rough school, like some the lads above. I went to Gilbert Heathcote School on Whittington Moor and then to Chesterfield Grammar School. There weren't no fairies there either !!!
