Well that was a bloody shambles today but then that`s been this & most of last season to a tee.
McCabe the first and major culprit. He took his eye of the football side of things long ago, let robson & his cronies plough on until too long, then after the lump & run master Blackie was found out to have only one tactic, results tumbled even further. Mccabe didn`t remove him when he should (2 year ago) left things to rumble on & sacked the fool at an unbelievable time.
If blackwell had gone after the play off defeat, a sensible appointment then made, well, we could well be sitting pretty now.
Alas Blackie let us suffer all last season as he tried to fulfill his lifelong commitment to make us the ugliest team to watch in Britain
Pre season this year, he signs kozzy, good for a laugh but as much footballing quality as a dutch pianists stool (& not the one he sits on) . He buys the limp non scoring threat boggy to appease the maltese sponsors.
The pre-season results showed what sort of a season we were in for... no goals, & could hardly beat non league duffers, let alone any decent side.
The squad that started the season was relegation material, the football wasn`t going to change, we were easy meat for any carnivorous manager with a brain & so" lump it" was sacked 3 games in which meant any replacement was stuck with Blackie`s dungheap squad/ relegation side.
McCabe takes the cheap option again & speed fails to stir the run & at `em side into any signs of football. But for Andy Reid & a couple of starring performances from the inconsistent Yeates, speeds time was a waste.
McCabe then appoints Micky, a Blade & tells him to get us out the shit young man, i`ll back thee wi` money in january. Word is, our Micky tried for a few decent players but their demands were over McCabes 50p budget. So we get stuck with a bunch of last man options to supposedly enhance the squad.
I can`t fault Micky for his effort so far, though Marcus Bent & his 3 goals in his last 46 games was a weird move. We desperately need a jack in the box scorer & we needed it badly along with a creative midfielder. Surely the threat of relegation was a reason for McCabe & the board to buy our way out of it. How many teams will want to loan us players of that calibre now?, how many players will want to come???
Not sure what the point of this is, except i`m laying the blame solely on McCabe & the footballing neanderthal tactics & buying ability of buggerfaced blackie.
over to you...
