Oh sod it, cresswell upfront, Vokes has a strain or summat. Why not Evans up front with Boggy???
cresswell = nil goals
Nozza starts, so that` 2 to palace then.
I`m only saying this so cressy knocks in 6 & nozza is a colossus at the back , i`ll say owt in these desperate times!

Two pretty edgy sides, shame we aren`t taking advantage of those set pieces.
Nozza booked. Cresswell not looking like scoring, huge surprise there

Bent & Evans on for Doyle & Quinn, attacking ploy there... cresswell still on the pitch to offset any good news.

Sounds like United nil, Ambrose 1.
A player like Ambrose will keep trams up. We haven't had one for seasons.
I'm off to eat and drink myself happy. Sigh...

I had high hopes leading into these two matches v. palace & scunny, young blood Vokes & Evans up front, maybe Boggy in the mix (though i remain to be convinced he can score from open play enough)... but then, all the optimism is killed off by the inclusion of cresswell as goalscoring hope.
We are creating a few chances, very few look like going in. I thought Micky would have more sense than to put a bloke up front who`s been a total liability all season & looks as likely to score a goal than Betty behind the bar at the rovers.
It`s to be hoped Vokes is fit tuesday, apart from the ipshite fiasco we aren`t conceding many, but it`s the attacking third that`s a huge problem. The only possible way to turn cresswell into a goalscorer is to give him a new head that fits properly, a brain that is connected to his feet & a name change to Brian Deane.
