100% effort no doubt about that, a player who tried to pass, tried to shoot, tried to head & tried to tackle but really tried all our patience with every aspect. No real good at anything apart from applying a modicum of pressure. Half a dozen ok games a season doesn`t make a good footballer, it`s the other 40 odd "what the f**k`s" that makes the player. He`s never been much cop & a liability more often than not. We`ve had players who can pressurise & tackle in the past, Paterson, Hockey, etc.... they could all find colleagues in red & white shirts no trouble, that is without the use of a lucky sliced shin contact to the wing.


With Philliskirk, it`s to be hoped he got some sort of decent upbringing/skills at chelsea, if he turns out like his Dad then we have another "bloodyhendo".

Speaking of arseholes, did anyone see Brian Kidd at the weekend?? I cant believe they have the likes of him running multi-million pound players! The way he jumped around after Scholes challenge! It made a change from when he used to stand in our dug out like he had just missed the last bus!

So tell me, as I am a member on one or two United boards, I can talke crap with the best of em Why is it that after 5 managers, not one of them has seen wehat the fans have??? Its a familiar story regarding all of them. We know Ched would struggle if there was only him on the field and Monty plays like the ball is a balloon, but they are still there - and now we are in League 1

Good point Goldenslew, I guess that although the fans can see what is wrong, the manager simply has to work with what he has got at his disposal. i.e. if your material is shite, the product will be shite too. None of the managers we have had recently has had the prestige to be able to attract quality to the Lane. Robson had it I suppose, but he didn't know what to do with it anyway. And your comment about Kidd - very true - an arse of the first water! never make a manager as long as his backside is pointing to the ground.

McCabe has sold off all the asserts to get his money back. He will be at square 1 as he now has to spend some of the walker/ naughton cash to fund next seasons wage bill. Horse, dead and flogging are the words springing to mind when thinking of Richard Cresswell and Darius Henderson, I dont know about you?
