from official site... Micky Adams will include more of the Blades promising youngsters in his selections at Swansea this Saturday. But his hand has also been forced by the withdrawal of three members of his senior squad through injury for the final fixture of the season.
Micky Adams said: "Darius Henderson pulled up lame with a hamstring strain in training this morning whilst David McAllister (calf) and Ched Evans (ankle ligaments) will also be missing."
The United boss will reintroduce to the matchday squad goalkeeper George Long and midfielder Matt Harriott, whilst central defender Terry Kennedy comes in for the first-time.
All three are Academy products who are set to play against Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup Final later this month.
Swansea, who are already guaranteed a play-off place, go into Saturday's game on the back of a 2-0 win at Millwall last weekend with Darren Pratley and Stephen Dobbie netting the goals.
Former Blades loanee Nathan Dyer will be buoyed by winning the Supporters' Player of the Year award at the Liberty Stadium in midweek.
Darius has pulled up lame?, when has he been anything but? Good to see Long given a go. Goldenslew will be happy!! Last game in a seasonal long groundhog day of abysmal tw**k. I see another of Blackie`s cast offs, another who didn`t fit his masterplan description of tackle first/ flair distant last, Nathan Dyer got the swans player of the year.

will be really keen to see how georgie boy gets on
seen harriott twice, once in a 10 min cameo appearance on adams first home game and once in the youth cup against villa, he looked decent but a bit naieve on the ball
odd how dyer got their POS when sinclair has scored 20+ goals for them

More like ugly duckling rather than swan song. Down by three goals down to ten men bottom of the league.

Due to a bout of apathy & senility i got the timing wrong of the game, missed it completely, wasn`t i the lucky one.
Shame i wasn`t dopey enough to have missed the rest of the season.
Laughing at the pigs losing to teams like exeter, rochdale etc. was the only glimmer of fun in a house of horrors this season has been. A drastic clear out of the shite is needed to be replaced with players who have some idea how to pass & control a football. Otherwise it could be us supplying the laughs next time.

To be honest Fred, I have had similar feelings as you ever since they began getting rid of players of the likes of 'Beattie'. The writing has been on the wall as clear as a 'Banksy' mural for a couple of seasons. Shame on this current board, and alas they will 'Reap what they Sow'. and we will have to watch it unfold in front of us, and as you rightly say the last thing I need is the arrogant pigs from wherever we are laughing at our demise.

I thought after seeing the sales of Deano and Fjortoft, those days were over. Fair enough, Michael Brown wanted to leave but since McCabe took over, there wasnt any high profile departures. As you rightly point out, the sale of Beattie saw us steadily decline. Jagielka was another that we couldnt have an argument about as it was his decision and he left it as late as possible to see if we would get re-instated. Now it is just a farce. McCabe has undone all the previous years good work with his menthality of selling to the highest bidder. Now it has come and bit him back in the arse as the lost TV revenue plus excessive wages that need paying will testify. That just takes out his profit he made from the Kyles

But will it stop with the Kyles, I don't think so.... We are going to get some cock and bull story with regards to "We had no choice but to sell Harry, Jordan and others, due to poor season ticket sales". If the current board had the balls to have done what I think Norwich did two seasons ago, where their chairman stated he would match pound for pound what was brought in from season tickets, for the purchase of players. They wouldn't be looking at the income from the (reported) derisory 7,500 season tickets sold so far, I think there would have been around the same, if not more season tickets sold than last year. I for one lost all faith with this board when they publicly stated Beattie wasn't playing because he had flu. I don't trust em.

I thoroughly expect that to happen ivanhoe, we have a dearth of talent available to other clubs other than these promising young lads.
The rest will go between "free" to $150,000" tops, maybe Evans will reap a million if norwich still think he`s the player of a couple of years ago. Oh & Collins will fetch $50m from real madrid but that`s about it.

Fred, How Dare You... Collins $50m. Will we ever stop under-valuing our best players. I'm sure you mean Real-Ale Madrid, don't you.

I believe real madrd are taking offers of up to 50m euros/pesetas/american dollars/pounds/ bottles of hair grease for ronaldo.......... as long as collins stays away from Madrid. Kids in the Spanish capital are threatened if they don`t go to sleep with " the Neil Collins monster will get you".
We could be on an earner here.

Methinks you are taking the proverbial p**s Fred and Ivanhoe? Have we really had an offer of $50 million for Collins? (No, I am not stupid, just slightly sarcastic!)

HA.. HAA.. Fred. You could be onto something here. Rather like that TV advert where the Big Beer Belly was chasing that fella around, just change the words to 'Nelly's Gonna Get Ya!' www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxzdo8FfrW0
