Good thing or bad thing? He always had our best interests at heart, being able to get the message across to the players was his problem. 4 wins in 26 is a terrible record - at any level. Its who would you get now? Leave Pemberton EXACTLY where he is. If we arent in the top 6 come November, he will be out leaving the academy up sh1t street! No names are springing to my mind

MacRob didn't give the bloke a chance. But this is a results driven business and as you say he record is piss-poor.
I actually felt quite optimistic for next season with a good clear out, promising youngsters and one or two quality signings, I felt we could do quite well. I guess we will never know now.
Agree with you that he should leave Pembo well alone. He is doing a cracking job with the academy and should be left to continue.
No idea who he will replace with, but no doubt it will be a cheap option.

There is talk of QPR getting a big name manager. So Warnock might be looking for work.Dont know how it would go down with some fans.

Just imagine though, on tomorrows Football Heaven: "Right Kevin we have our first caller with a question for you". "Is that Mickey, what do you want to ask Kevin McCabe".
If Carlsberg did radio phone in's....

Well you all thought I stepped down didn't you but I'm still pulling the strings.
Sadly it didn't work out and now I'm looking for another useless manager to take his place. I can't sack myself either, well I won't so expect another shitty manager soon.
Basically Adams sacked himself with a string of poor signings constantly playing some players who'd struggle to get in a park side.

The big problem is that once again we will be behind the eight ball when it comes to player recruitment. It will take time to get somebody in and by then everybody else will have got the jump on us!.............unless the board already have somebody in mind to replace Adams of course.

i reckon warnock could well come back if he leaves qpr, and i'd definately be pleased if he did
nobody else springs to mind who we wouldnt have to pay compo for
another likely candidate has to be bassett

I agree, time to stop fannying about and go for someone with football tactics,a touch of pedigree & likely to attract players and more season ticket holders
Di Matteo would be perfect........ so i thoroughly expect Donald Mcw**k from cowdenbeath juniors to be appointed, who`ll do the job for a dram & a tickle up wi` a thistle

Oh &...
yep feel sorry for Micky, he was given a squad that was probably the slowest most incompetent & flair free in our history. He wasn`t backed by McCabe in january & anyone decent approached simply didn`t want to come to our festering gob of relegation nobodies.
He deserved better & i think he would have been ok next season, though whether he would`ve got us up i`m not so sure.
BUT 3 things went against him

Ok, just found out, and not happy. Micky would have been the best prospect for us next season. He knows what L1 is all about. Now we rock the boat again, yet more dissaray, yet ANOTHER manager to find.
We needed stability. McCabe clearly has lost the plot.
We are a poisoned chalice now. Instant success is required on Burger King wages, and a budget of sod all.
Well done McUseless.
Europe in 5 years.........that 5 years is up, we are 2 divisions lower and the only sign of Europe is YOUR FRIGGIN HOUSE!!!!

I've got to say, Adams has been very gracious about his sacking. He's done it the Blades way.
