we`ve got to get someone who is above the average. They cost money Fred! Forget that. Mark Robins, he has left Barnsley because of a row over how much transfer money is available...well that will be an interesting interview at United wouldnt it?? How much would I have to spend (McCabe raises one eyebrowe, shuffles his feet and losens his tie!) John Pemberton, Hi John, I like what you have done with the youth. You have put alot of effort in there. Do you think if I made you manager you could put as much effort into selling them?!

I think Pembo will get the job next week. He has managed to get more blades to go to an acadeny away game than there are season ticket holders for next year.
Get ready for the quotes from McCabe along the line of: "Johns done an excellent job with the academy, he deserves a go at a higher level"..

Tha`s probably right about our Pembo, he`s done a good job with the young`uns, as he did at forest.
trouble is i can`t rid mesen of this nagging comparison with the unpolished turd that was Billy McEwen, he too was a good`un with youth, but when promoted to first team manager he was most certainly the original Jock McShit .
Maybe Pembo has more nouse. What ever happens, McCabe is still looking for a cheap option that`s for sure.

My biggest concern about most of the average johnnies in that list of managers available is that most of are the sort that would continue the disease of mediocre players like monty, collins, hendo etc etc.
Maybe Pembo having seen that shite perform like the back end of a pantomime horse for the last couple of years will know what needs to be done.
In the meantime i`ll prepare mesen for a huge dose of the usual "being let down"when we sign a nowt special.

Latest rumours appear to say it`s between Danny Wilson, Mark Robins & Peter Reid, this is not just underwhelming but is in fact a 10 mile deep mine shaft with outside bog whelming.
No doubt they won`t cost much though.

Well said, Goldenslew. I also like your contribution above about Pembo "Putting in as much effort" to sell the youngsters as he has put into the Academy. Someone said that Wilson has publicly said how much he despises Sheffield United. Just the sort of guy we need. I look at the example of Derek Dooley - I believe that he was appreciated more by United than ever he was by the Pigs - all I can hope is that Wilson turns out the same, but I doubt it! His record ain't that great is it?And if Shirtcliffe comes with him, they'll be howling with glee in Sheffield 6 !

Sometimes you just have to hold your head in your hands and shake it Still, and this is a big 'If'. Can you imagine is we beat the snort beasts and 2 of there legends are draped in United gear celebrating with the fans? That will rub there snouts in it big style! ...and if we lose it will be a conspiracy of course.
