Could someone please update me on the situation ref: McCabe and the Tevez money? Now this is it, as far as I am concerned.
We get relegated. Warnock, then later when he is sacked, McCabe, take up the gauntlet and process the cheating pile of shit that is West Ham and Carlos Tevez through some tribunal in Europe. Whilst the world hates us for it, we doggedly hope McCabe wins. This he does and gets tewnty five million awarded, which in truth was only obtained because he claimed it was how much it cost the club, Sheffield United, in TV revenue, merchandise, lost players, and christ knows what else. Face it though. Without the words 'Sheffield' and 'United' in the case (i.e. if he'd fought it saying Kevin McCabe lost that mush because of the cheating Argie dwarf, he'd have been booted out of court)
Now, we go through a season of horror with piss-head Robson and later Blackwell, ending in nowt more than disappointment. We signed and then sold a series of players, such as Beattie K and lost the likes of Jags (surely some sell-on clauses, maybe?) and eventually Kenny and really, one would imagine the club was about 'in balance given the shit we signed under Blackwell, Speed and Adams, even with a stretch of the imagination regarding wages. Season tickets were stable, gates fairly good and with loanees, you're only paying wages against gates, merchandise and telly income.
So, here's the question. McCabe will waste no time telling all who will listen that his family has pumped millions into United. Fine. So where's the Tevez money, motherf**ker? Or has it just been quietly forgotten about, like for example, the millions wasted on John Ebrell or Bruno Ribiero or countless others who came, played once and f**ked off months later having made no impact at BDTBL? Where's the money, Mac? Sure, it was in isntallments. Where's it gone? I haven't seen any new stands going up since the BL corner. The exterior looks very much the same. Where hass whatever has so far been paid by WHU gone? Has it been paid at all? Are we letting the cheating t**ts off the hook, and if so, why? Would we get such levity?
