Finally , as expected, Hendo is back in goal for us! was like reading a tolstoy novel where you knew the ending but had to strive through all the shite to get there. We`ve got Ben Osborn too, not sure i remember much about him when we played forest, only Lolley looked owt decent for them, but Wilder knows summat and he`s extra competition for Enda and Flecky, so even if Osborn isn`t super brilliant he is a class up on Marvin Johnson in that role.

Dingles whipped and put in their place, thought Fleck looked cracking and Robinson always a threat. 4 well taken goals from Osborn, Robinson 2 and Freeman, Luke !
Would`ve liked to have seen Morrison get more time and Lys Mousset making some sort of appearance, we are running out of time for them to get up to match fitness and the way we play. 2 more signings to come an` all. Interesting.

Didzy looking wickedly good as usual, like Robinson , hope we see many more of his goal celebrations even if it did annoy the local tramps! Deano did well in the rain, not much to do though

Aye Hendo (sorry i can`t use Deano, that is forever Brian !! :-) ) did well in slippy conditions, not much chance wi` the baaarnsley goal. and came out and took some good high balls. Young Osborn looked useful. a few mistakes from Egan and Norwood but gerrem out the way before bournemouth lads, that`s the idea.
In other football news, i see that clumsy thug, and handballer, Shawcross got a nasty injury, photos look bad, i may not like him as a footballer but wouldn`t wish that on him, hope the lad is ok. And Bale, is set to earn a million quid a week in china if he goes there, it`s a weekly amount that i`d be reasonable happy with, though i`d want a bus pass an` all. hope he gets one.
Bale has money, has the honours, will never win a trophy with wales, he has missed a chance by not seeking a new challenge with us, silly sod.

And the latest 650 page saga nears completion, seems everybody apart from the club has stated Olli McBurnie is now a Blade.
Certainly gives us extra height up top that the dwarf Maupay didn`t have so that`s good and he was a problem to us last season, so here`s hoping he now solves a few problems for us now by sticking in a crate of goals in the premier. Goodness we have plenty of creative midfielders to supply the ammo now, it`s just, how do we fit them all in???
Sad to see David Brooks won`t be up against us at Bournemouth for the first prem game this season. poor lad, but we know he would`ve scored against us, so whoever tipped his ankle, i shouldn`t thank you, but good timing youth. certainly hope Brooks does well this season and hopefully finds a bigger club eventually..... probably back to us when we are in the champions league hunt next season?

Reyt that`s the phony war out the way, pre-season folded up and stacked in the back cupboard till next year. Next it`s the proper stuff.
can`t read much into loss at Reims, arrived on the day, usual plethora of changes.... nice goal by Robinson and Morrison looking very good.
I do however hold little hope that dear old Lundy will ever make a decent footballer for us. He started last season in first 2 games, both lost which was put right when Duffy took his place in the 3rd game. He is just a little too slow in most of what he does. He did well at stoke last season and put a good tackle in against the flaky greasy Grealish v. Villa... Unfortunately that was the only standout things he did all last season, do we really expect him to be good enough in the premier against faster brained, fitter, more flair powered players than the championship?.... eek! Be careful chris
The midfielder we are supposedly after from leicester looks a better bet for the squad and i see we are looking at that Holgate at everton, bit of a mardarse from what i`ve seen but nifty on his feet.
Roll on next saturday

Decent finish to the transfer deadline, we have that tough tackling midfielder we needed in Mo Besic, that`s pretty much covered all areas now. We have that Verrips goalkeeper too, not sure about that one. Probably a good move though i do feel sorry for Moore, who has rarely let us down.
Mark Duffy is on his way too, down in the black country for the maestro for this season, a loan that`ll cover his contract with us.
He were great Duffy, 3 seasons of super skill, thrills and entertainment from him. Before every game over last 3 seasons my wish was to see Duffy the creator and Sharp the finisher start... if they didn`t, well we never quite looked the same, didn`t look as much as a threat. Now there`s 3 or 4 players fighting with Duffy for his spot this season and it would`ve been tough at his age to get a starting spot.
Sorry to see him go, shame his agent has an agents best thoughts at stake, poor Duffy din`t help himself by asking for a longer better contract. Agents are the Pond scum of football.
Thanks Duffy for every moment of skill, the goals, the assists, the trickery and of course for hillsborough which will always make you a legend old chap. I doff me cap to thee Duffski, a grand 3 seasons of effort.
