Hmmm, probably a missed opportunity there, Disappointed to see McGoldrick and Robinson start up top, Seemed an ideal time to bring in Billy and Oli, and as it happens when they came on, we were a much stronger threat.
All three games so far, it looks like Wilder has gone for a side with a look of keep it tight, almost a nigel clough (spit!) type philosophy. Sorry Chris i can understand that in the prem, but not sure leicester were worthy of that much respect, we are better than that.
First half Norwood was strangely slow and was passing the ball out and Lundstram passing it back and back and back. Crosses were poor or no one there and there was a reluctance to shoot. Terrible mistake by Bash and the scrotum scores, was a poor half by both teams and nothing much happened really, lots of huff and puff , not sure either team deserved to be ahead and only Baldock`s volley the highlight until Bash`s calamity.
2nd half much much better, kept a higher line, caused problems, still thought we dithered on crossing at times but the half chances were there, Oli got a cracking headed goal and all in all pretty decent but more shots wanted..
Then some donkey jumps all over one of our youths and strangely gets a header backward from their set piece, lucky for them the ref ignores the GBH and the ball falls to young Barnes, who hits a cracker... 9 times out of ten it`s sliced into the bloke`s bovril at the back of the stand, this one he connects perfectly and Henderson can only flick a glance as it flashes by
So only 2 proper shots on target and 2 goals, Hmmm, not sure I agree with Chris that they deserved the win and we deserved nothing. Leicester were average in huge parts, Ball bag vardy was offside 665 thousand times and got lucky thanks to the horrendous decision by bash to dribble past 3 offensive players like he were on a after tea stroll t` pub.
Put Billy and Oli up top next week Chris.
