I was unsure John Egan would be a standout in the prem, he`ll always give is all, that`s a given. but today the lad was immense, what a performance. John lad tha`s a champion, keep it up!
Strange first half, the middle three gave away far too much possession and seemed content to give Everton space to run at us.... then came the usual Everton hopeful cross and our no nonsense back three dealt wi` `em like swotting flies.
Super corner from Norwood for the first goal, always thought Pickford a good shot stopper but a bit puny and short for crosses.... and thankfully he came up to expectations, 1-0 thanks very much Mr O.G.
The surprise goal meant we`d carry on and hold what we had, maybe at 0-0 we`d have introduced flair a bit sooner and tried to nick a win... 1-0 was more of the same. Mousset then came on for the disappointing Robinson... I think young Callum is very much a confidence player, scored some crackers when shooting pre season, today there was a lovely Blades move, the ball was eventually given to Callum free to shoot just outside box from a central position.... did he shoot as he should?, he passed it square to Norwood, grrrr (who then alas underhit a pass even squarer). think it`s time the Mousse started .
So anyway Mousset is on and at least he and McBurnie kept the opposition backs thinking by their hassling, cue a good ball from Lundstram and an almighty run from the mousse and it`s 2-0, and it`s The Toffees wrapped up and thrown in the bucket marked "thanks for 3 points tha arrogant t**ts" (which will be a recurring theme as everyone keeps thinking we are relegation fodder and should be beaten 4-0.
