To quote a line from Life of Brian, to liverpool, "you lucky lucky b*****ds"
Overall i`d say we were the better side, MADE the best opportunities too, while `pool got one from a long ball and our mistakes. To end a match so disappointed not to have beaten the European champions is quite something, though disappointing it still is, because we could`ve won that. Fine margins and alas, a school boy error by Henderson gifted the scousers 3 points.
Fleck was great, Stevens continues his menacing runs, the defence was sound and George is a right terrier, McBurnie had a good game and never gave up against the might of Van Dijk, He was handy at both ends of the field. Lundy did some good things and some shocking things, setting up two good chances for Liverpool, especially the Salah 1 and 1, he tends to poke the ball back too often without looking. Robinson hit and more miss, Norwood ok ,,, all in all we defended and attacked decently as a team, never lost our composure and deserved to get something from the match.
Klopp thinks they were the team that deserved to win, silly silly sod, ok you are allowed to get mardy when you expected a 4 nowt win, but you got incredibly lucky and did not under any circumstances deserve to win.... your golden tarts were outplayed and made to look shoddy... yet again , as with every game we seem to have played over the last 3 years, a team turns up and plays their worst game of the season against us..... don`t these w**kers realise there is a reason for that. They are up against a class team, who play for each other and don`t give up.
Shame we couldn`t take one of our handful of well made good chances, here`s hoping we put them all in v. watford next week
ref was ok but 3 extra corners we should`ve had, but were mistakenly given as goal kicks, even though 2 looked pretty obvious and of course he fell for a few of the theatricals. But seeing as i expected him to send off at least one of our lads before kick off, he wasn`t bad.
