As for Slew RB, his agent, Mark rankine, known previously at the lane as that "w**k chuff in the middle", has bigged up the lad from what i hear, so much in fact, that The Blades are too small for him.
Bloody agents.

When you think of the strikers we have had for peanuts, Deano, Andy Walker, Steve Kabba, Carl Asaba - then this guys fee dwarfs all the lot of them put together! I would be happy to get his train fare back let alone a million quid!
When he first arived, we were rubbing our hands together - now the only thing we rub is our eyes in sheer amazement of how bad he is! He has played under 4 different managers now and still looks as bad as ever!
Some days he may as well have took a paper on the pitch with him! He is usually stood on the touchline or scratching his arse near the half way line! Has he actually scored a headed goal for us??? As for this venemaous shot, he once hit the bar against QPR from a free kick in the cup, other than that, he finds me at the back of the kop!
Utter dross.

Ched looks a cracker, alas in only small doses, his finish at Cardiff last year was that of a proper striker, most of the rest of the time he looks as interested as a frenchman eyeing a bath.
Easily shrugged off the ball by any menancing neanderthal centre back, he never looked likely as a lone forward, he needed help but even then , never looked liked justifying the dosh spent.
He may do better elsewhere with a manager who always plays 2 up front & doesn`t mind an idle 75-80 minutes.
Keith Edwards of course was an idle sod, but could that bugger score when given a chance!!!

Slew is quite heavily connected up in my neck of the woods and I havent heard he has asked to leave us. Im sure I would have done and you may be right but as Fred says, its his agent that is touting him around. I never liked him as a player, let alone now hes an agent! Im suprised we are being linked with strikers though. We havent got a full back at the club for a start  |

Goldenslew - your sense of humour is about on par with Fred's - I enjoy it! Regardless of what we think, however, we are in the hands of Danny Boy and the Chairman. I still feel sore about the fact that none of last year's players want to leave. Like you say, only silly chuffs like us would pay them. Danny says today we are starting with a clean slate. That must be in parallel with most of the brains of those we'd like to see gone -clean, blank, unused!!!

Just had an email from a friend who has a friend who has a friend at the lane. So it`s top class info of course  Notts county wanting Simmo & Collins. However, it`s the words "wanting" & "Collins" that don`t make any sense. |
