The latest is...er, there is no latest!!!! Still got all our bottles of piss on the shelves, with the only addition being a young Haitian can of fizz. No sign of champagne or even a nice tasty pint of bitter.
Well i guess getting our Billy back as chief scout was a nice move, hasn`t done a bad job at Blackpool. He were a good`un too, fast, brave & a good finisher, lets hope he knows someone available in his ilk.
Me best memory of Bill Dearden was his one man demolition of Bobby Moore on a tuesday afternoon back in `72, Billy got 3 & Bobby was made to look like a Nyron Nosworthy action man dummy.

Danny Wilson says he wants "4 or 5" new players. Interesting also to see that in todays star, it is stated that none of the players have asked for a transfer. This I dont find suprising given there would only be us daft enough to pay them what they are currently earning! I will keep my ear to the ground, but thus far, I havent heard anything else. Its quieter than the piggy kop on Derby day!!!!

Says in 'The Currant Bun' that the Monty/Paynter deal will be completed next week. Who can we moan and have a laugh at now.

I was talking to Eddie Colquhoun on Monday night, and he said that Collins breaks the defenders cardinal rule by letting the ball bounce in front of him, he doesn't attack the ball, he lets it come to him, which gives any switched on attacker the impetus to beat him and make himself look slower than he really is..

That cant be right mate, we make the cardinal sin of putting him in a shirt and allowing him to do what he does!
Then theres Doyle! We would be better off with Mrs Doyle!
I hope your right on Monty. Ive caused myself many a mischief over the years and lost many a pie filling shaking my fist and hurling abuse at that pile of sheeite!

I know exactly what you mean about Monty, a couple of seasons ago my son and I always used to shout "STRIPES" when monty had the ball at his feet looking for a pass, needless to say he never flaming heard and continued to pass to the opponents. But we tried!!!.

Eddie C has it spot on, collins & nossa were both criminal in letting the ball bounce, a sin at sunday league level ne`er mind championship.
Then again when they actually headed the thing it was anyone's guess which direction the ball`d take.
Same with the infamous monty 'pass', it`s either to no one, to a steward on the kop, an opposition player or a scuffed pass behind or underhit to a colleague. That`s a full house of shit. Great physical effort from the lad but more often than not he`s as much an asset as collins & nossa. Please someone come & get our offal !
...but you`re right GS, these lads are happy to stay at the lane, where else are people gonna pay `em grand wages for shovelling shite.

Every manager since and including old big nose when talking about Monty, always stated "He's the fittest at the club, first at training and last to leave!". I can come somewhere to explaining his fitness levels too, I was at the 'Cystic Fibrosis' place in Brinsworth/Catcliffe, they have a contraption there where people who suffer this terrible ailment go in, it is then pumped full of oxygen to releave their lungs for a while, guess who was in it on the day I went there. How I wished I had got a welding kit, I would have welded the door shut and left him there..

Apparently Fulham have offered him 2k per week for which we have said that we will match.

There is no doubt Ivanhoe that monty is fit,... fit for brechin city or vojkstag cloggers of the german panzer 3rd division.
Never been a fit for The Blades though, a half dozen ok performances in the prem, totally forgetting his 25 odd chasing circles, conceding possession, seems to have turned monty into a living legend for some. Which i`m afraid has shown how we have plummeted to a level of accepting, & indeed praising, mediocrity & worse.
I see cardiff are after Ched, that seems a likely move after the loss of chopra & boothroyd.
