OFF SEASON

Well the "Off season" continues rather nicely, England with Immense games from our Harry and Kyle are through to the Euro final. No doubt the press will rate them low as usual (though harry has won `em over now) but i watch them closer than any other players on the field and nowt under 10 and of 10 would do them two justice tonight !

Meanwhile our lads are out in Spain getting a bit of a tan and some cobwebs out the legs, that`ll do `em some good. Apparently Young Kean bryan is dithering over staying at United, well matey , i`m thankful for your goal at old Trafford and filling in while we had so many injured but with a right foot as gammy as you showed v. chelsea etc. No problem if you want to move on and find more games elsewhere. Good luck lad.

Lundstram of course is off to the depths of mediocrity in Jock land, but i`ve exorcised his evil self in the "Glumstram" thread , so just a thankful cheerio you idle sod will do here.

7th of August , just a month away, yipppee... but a nice sunday result this week against the Italians would be rather jolly ( rather jolly plus in fact!)

Well 3 nowt win over some obscure Gibraltan eleven yesterday, change of sides at half time, that`ll do for starters for the next season, Sadly we look as if we`ve lost Jack O`C again... for 6 to 10 months, poor youth. If he`d kept up his pre covid form and health he`d have been in that England squad today.


Meanwhile today We lost on pens to Italy, as soon as they equalised, you could see it coming. To sit on 1-0 seemed to be the wrong tactic, to play Mount was the wrong tactic all tournamnet. I`ve never been a Grealish supporter before but you could see he scares defenders and worries the bollocks of them. That chelsea mincer jorginho should`ve been red carded for his studs up challenge on him today. But Grealish was brought on way too late, should`ve replaced Mount as soon as Italy equalised, actually he should have started instead of darling mounty , Southgates little pet.

The 2 daft subs late on , just to walk on and take pens cold.... hands up all England supporters who knew exactly what was coming with that.

Marvelous run by England, but with a slight niggle that Southgate still likes a dogged grafting middle over creative genius. And we sadly needed that oomph today but he refused to use it until a minor bow to it in extra time.... too late.

Bring Saka on , ok. bring Henderson on, er, why ? Saka for Trippier and Grealish for Mount and we `re off to find a winner. Henderson was uncanny in his ability to kick every ball out for a throw in or to a blue shirt. Sorry Gareth you messed up today but thanks for the last month.... just get a bit more creative from now on you daft apeth. We won`t win in Qatar in 212 dgrees fahrenheit, it`s not easy. it`s not the British way it`s not cricket. But we have a class squad of players, just need to use them a little bit better.

Harry and Kyle were both excellent all tournament. What a pen from Harry.

Football is always home. we invented it, it`s our biggest gift to the sporting world. the best sport ever, but it`s still our baby and if the rest of the world want to continue with chips on their shoulders over that, well they can sod mightily off.

Ah, we`ve now moved into that "vast chasm" period of the off season, in which every player we are rumoured to buy is quickly dropped down into a chasm of greed and bought by Villa, Fulham Brum etc. who jolly well up the wages to an obscene degree.

Lots of paper talk, nowt definite. Ramsdale still might go to the Arse, Berge to half the teams in the premier and every top level club in Europe, perhaps he`s going to be timeshared? ...Baldock is supposedly still being chased by Celtic, can`t see our George wanting 8 easy games out of every 9 and a chance to wave to Lundstram sat on the Rangers bench. George is a defensive terrier , he needs a contest every game , not the "care for tea vicar. pleasant stroll in the park nibbling on a cucumber and cress sandwich " that most Scots teams provide.

Kean Bryan has ignored a contract we offered him , what`s up lad, a tenner a week and a season`s supply of Hendo`s sauce not grand enough for thi` matey?... bit high and bloody mighty are tha?... middlesbrough might offer you a bigger wage, but don`t forget it means living in middlesbrough laddy. But really he was never good enough, some sparkling moments, well three or four in a catalogue of mediocrity... he is no loss.

Apparently we are interested in a Peruvian lad at a fee that seems remarkable shit for someone supposedly full of talent.... and if he is so talented, here comes Villa, Fulham and Brum etc.

As is usual any Blades signings come very very late, usually when the seasons 2 week old... or january. Would be so nice if we had 2 or 3 signed now before the donny friendly, gi`ing `em time to blend with the other lads before the start on the 7th.

Come on United gi` us some good news, get summat sorted that`ll have us jumping round room quicker than a kangaroo wi` linament on his `taters

Ayup, some proper togger !.. well sort of. Nice run out v. Donny, 4 nowt win at a stroll. Berge looked class, Bash glides like an olympic gymnast (and better looking!) easing past players. Grand to see Mousset get goals, please Lys, be the player you can be and you`ll murder this league. I Like Freeman , he wants to create and take players on.... and What`s this a number 7 that moves? should`ve scored young Brewster but he`s looking determined and threw himself into tackles and pressurised the opposition very unlike the previous cardboard cut out we had loitering with no intent wi` that sacred "Woody" number on his back. (thank god he`s ranger`s piece of shit now)

Anyhow so nice to have a Blades crowd, what a difference it makes, no one can do a Lundstram under their gaze.

Roll on the 7th August. Norwich friendly first of course but that`ll be giving most of the squad a run. But a home crowd as the 12th man, is`nt that lovely.
