Hmmm, so we got a new manager , who seems a reasonable choice. Shame he can`t get stuck in till end o` month. Hope he does us proud.
Meanwhile England cricket is a shambles with a rotation policy that means you don`t play your best players, so they end up with 7 john lundstrams in the side and that`s that, not a fun watch miss football.
Ah but we have the 2020 Euro Championship now to take away time till the new season. It`s a year late which is about same as our premier second season starting time.
Today we beat Croatia 1-0, which was kinda jolly, not exciting but a step toward the next round. Croatia never really fashioned a proper chance and were a bit Danny Cadamarteri. Thought our Lad Kyle had a good game, 3 slightly mis-hit passes and the commentators never forgave him?.. He was solid and sound at the back, his main job, sent Phillips away to create the winner for Sterling and some of Kyle`s play was class defending, The commentators love certain players and if Mount plays a 2 yard pass to the Physio`s bucket, it`s magic and skilful and wow what a darling. Seems Kyle has the wrong background.
So we have 11 Blades or ex Blades involved in the competition, 5 for England : Kyle, Harry, Coady, Calvert Lewin & Hendo. Scotland 2 : Our Flecky and the mardy looking Adams. Wales 4 : Ampadu, Brooks, Norrington Davies and Pagey as manager. Any more?... at least we have players to keep an eye on and a relief from the cricket debacle and United`s relegation
Oh and that walking red card, Phillips of leeds, actually played quite well, first time i`ve seen that, usually he lunges and mistimes tackles only Jay McEveley would drool over. He even removed his compulsory Leeds man bun to gain a little extra credit.
Lots of transfer runours and bollocks about The Blades, as usual we have to wait an age for owt to really happen and we can ignore most of the guesswork papers publish.
Here`s to England beating the uppity Jocks next. Never a definite win with Southgate in charge, still not sure he has the right midfield for creativity, but we`ll see.
Roll on 2021/22

Can`t really see Ramsdale or Fleck getting any game time mind you. Fleck possibly if Scotland have lost first 2 and losing the 3rd wi 5 minutes to play... super extra 5th sub Flecky will get a cosy meaningless bit part.
No news on United.
No surprise there
Seems the world has stopped for us until the 1st of July when our Slav comes to work wi` his packed lunch and thermos.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear... wanting England to give the Jocks a good old fashioned thumping, sadly ruined the minute i saw Rice and Phillips, the two shop window dummies were in the middle of midfield, James for Kyle, well if passing bakkards for 90 minutes is an improvement on our Kyle then Southgate wants stuffing. A static midfield and no decent ball to the forwards, add Sterling playing like it was a beach ball and the game was one of those.... "and all of a sudden, nothing happened" kinda games.
Grealish might be a soft falling down dandy, but he tried to create, has to start v. Czech Rep. Scotland celebrating a 0-0 win, hmmm, heard that before, but they were pretty dire an`all.
This isn`t the rest from frustrating results and performance we wanted in the off season. Ho hum

Hmmm, our interest in the Euros continues... Despite Southgate`s tactics of the 2 donkey middle midfield, Honestly did Rice or Phillips do owt tonight apart from an occasional sideways pass and a lack of doing anything they should? At least With Grealish and Sako there was a hint of attacking menace.
Meanwhile the scots, who crowned themselves Euro and World champions the other night after 2 tame shots v. England gave them the 0-0 win they dreamt about, fell to Croatia with a tartan whimper and a soggy tear drenched sporran.
And as expected John Fleck didn`t get a minute of playing time....
some players are tarred with the Blades brush alas, Harry and Kyle had great games tonight, didn`t put a foot wrong, yet marks out of ten so far say Kyle was limited, You can`t shift a national bias, if our first eleven doesn`t come from the big 6 or/ and look pretty then they are rubbished before they even set foot on the pitch.
Big game next , we have the ability but we also have Southgate in charge, anything, good or bad can happen.
Blades news as expected is pretty well nothing at this time, Rumours norwich are after Bogle.... but nowt is worth talking about and nowt can be believed till we hit July.

As Blades news continues to rate alongside The outer Ukranian harvest production annual report, the old Hun have booked a meeting with England in the last 16 of the Euros. 5pm on tuesday , mein gott, what about the workers?
Meanwhile still rumours that Bogle may go to Norwich or indeed may not.
a bloke called Dion Sanderson, defender from wolves is on our hit list apparently or indeed may not be
... and the lesser spotted can`t be arsed Lundstram is eagerly sorting through a pile of premiership offers .... or indeed probably not

Hmmm, swansea and WBA away 2nd and 3rd games... tough start, brum no mugs, hudders ok, etc etc. and yet compared to the fixture list we had last season, goodness the quality of opposition has dropped dramatically, Last season i were looking at the fixtures from a safe place behind the settee , scared shitless at our inability to score and VAR, now nothing looks too scary, the toughest opponent appears to be ourselves. Up to the manager and players and no more dribbly sulky spawny lazy t**ts like sir John Lundstram, King of his own myth....
Every player needs to be fit and ready, with 3 or 4 additions and The Lane crowd back, job done ! :-)

Our lads are back in training, all look reasonably fit as is, which is a good sight. Manager takes over proper in a couple of days, and about time too.
Meanwhile Messrs Les Grande frogs, the dutch cappers and slimey ronaldo and his portugee subservients have all departed the Euro champs, which is rather quaint...
However Southgate will be planning to put Jordan Henderson, Rice and Phillips together in an attempt to kill the game tomorrow and our chances before they`ve started....
Look laddie play Grealish, Sancho (who seems to scare the crap out of the jerrys whenever he is mentioned) and Foden, keep one defensive midfielder, not 3. Ditch Sterling who is struggling with an adult sized ball.... yes i know he`s got our only goals, but has he really played well? Not particularly. Blades lads Harry and kyle have to play with Yound Dom coming on if needed. there we are instant success. Only gareth can stop us now,

Not seem the main man Didzy on the photos yet, but he deserves more rest than the others! kept us going did Didzy, never lets Dem Blades down, so Kool so much talent. As for the germans today, just under 8 hours to go and some of us working dudes have to earn a crust, will miss first half at least. Don`t trust that southgate guy, so negative and he don`t trust in his attackeing talent 8-(

Didn`t i say Sterling was a must!!!, our best player, er, cough ,splutter, cough, cringe, splutter. Actually i was getting a bit frustrated wi` the lad, great play at times then would always take on one too mnay and then.... well if he scores then he`s a top lad. Still don`t think Rice and Phillips is a good middle, no creativity , just huff and puff and a yellow card each. Trouble is Southgate will now think this is the way to play and yet, there`s a good chance wi` darling Grealish and Sancho on from the start we might have nobbled this german team by half time. That muller must be old enough to recieve a pension ...He has the lightning speed of a stuffed mousse.
But all ended well tonight and we are through.
And lets thank our Blades/barnsley back line for that clean sheet, with a little help from the northerner in goal
Another day closer to the appearance of Slavisa at the lane. Lucky lad chap he is.

Our manager, dear old Slaviša Jokanović is just about there now, tomorrow and he`s at BDTBL making things happen at last, blimey it`s been a long wait since the days of Hecky.
No sign of Chris Wilder bothering with a decent job yet, kinda don`t want him to be up against us in the same league. He`d be good at Wolves, Palace, newcy summat like that. He is a premier manager and just needs some proper backing in wages as well as fees.
I see Nina Pinta Santa Maria is the new manager of Spurs, think he`ll find it a little harder without his plethora of portugee internationals as his tactic. And Benitez has signed for Everton and already is getting threats from the lovable chirpy, oh ain`t they witty, scouse mornons. He`ll do better than Ancelotti who turned up with an extendable eyebrow but without the billions he expected to spend on foreign lads.
Oh but please let`s hope we are talking about some grand Blades signings very soon... and more England wins to get us through the close season.

Slav is happy to be part of the family, wants to keep Berge and Ramsdale , wants more quality but knows he has some already and Jack O`Connell is no nearer fit alas, that`s about the Blades news so far... nowt exciting yet but no doubt things will start bubbling to surface soon.
England with the South Yorks influence continues to batter the europeans, as is our God given right! Nice to see Big Harry get the second goal, especially after he started this season with so much critism. Which i`m amazed Kyle still gets, he plays one slight wonky pass, which i thought Stones should`ve got but Kyle is called our weakest link in one review and given 5s and 6s... he had a good game, Blimey Shaw`s first 4 passes were straight to Ukraine players, but that`s ok, He`s not an uncouth Sheffied troglodyte with a pit helmet and clogs in his bag. Mount did absolutely sod all yet got an 8 in one review, 7s in others, but he`s a nice little darling who wouldn`t swear even if he`d been swatted in the goolies with a sledge hammer.... But anyway i can forgive the ineptitude of gormless sports writers as long as England keep winning.
