Well that was a bit on the slightly shit scale. Following the sad news of England`s wretched unneccessary demise in the cricket and the passing of Sean Lock , United attempted to bring a smile to those feeling a little shocked...
Alas the only smiles were on WBA fans, players and staff who couldn`t believe they could play so average and yet win 4-0 at a canter. 4 gifted goals wrapped in Red & white.
1st half, not a lot happened, 2 obvious offsides for `brom, 1 awful back header from Jack Robinson and a shocking miss by McGoldrick, an awful first half by 2 poor sides. Sorry Mcgoldrick but a great pass from Billy and the goal was gaping, i jumped up thinking you`d scored, it surely was in, eh, what`s up here?, ref`s given a goal kick, surely not, no player on earth other than Werner, Sammon or Mcgoldrick could miss that... oh, and one of `em did.
WBA`s neanderthal long throws cause us mayhem, verrips caused us more 2-0, verrips caused us more 3-0, give aways caused us more 4-0. Passing to our middle is out of fashion and when Fleck or Norwood got it, they passed it back. Jack Robinson our replacement for O`Connell is a liability, can`t head a ball properly , turns back too much or just chips it down to the rather tiny trier but lacking Osborn.
Freeman looked like a footballer when he came on... that`s a novelty this season so far, i like him , he should start over Fleck and Norwood. Zac Brunt should start too. McBurnie at least won headers and laid off a few quick balls. Billy tries but just doesn`t get help. Berge looks good at times but if he gets no passes he looks frustrated . Give him Norwoods role and let Brunt play where Berge is.
Verrips , poor poor sod, Robinson shit, Egan ok but need better from him, Bash ok, still better when he can break out with the ball at his feet, Fleck plays too safe, Norwood it`s back back back then a 50 yard ball to the opposite wing, need more than that, Berge not involved enough, Billy not involved enough, given balls 7 foot in the air to control, McGoldrick, sorry David old lad, you`re a good attacking number 10, you`re no proper goalscorer, just admit it, Baldock tried and looked more than a bit pissed off, Osborn , runs his little legs off be better if he used the ball though, Burke lots of speed little brain, McBurnie okish tonight, Freeman a lone spark of talent.
Thankfully i`m running out of words to further describe the match apart from several hundred you`d only find in the "Beano vulgar four letter words for the insanely mad" edition one.
lots of changes for `udders please.
