Dane was a cracking player, could easy have played for England, the country had a dearth of good left sided players back then, especially one like Dane who could create , tackle and score. Top player. Dane at 27 year old were in his prime and in November 1997 he was a big part of a top Blades team, then we played port vale away...
The interview with Dane had me shed a tear for the lad, so much more to offer and his career was ruined by a hugely nasty tackle by that severe shit filled arsehead that is Gareth Ainswoth, he was out of control he was a coward and worse, never apologised, never contacted Dane, never gave a shit at ruining a fellow professional`s career. The pain Dane had to go through over the next few years was terribly sad.
I saw that w**ker Ainsworth jollying up to the lads on 'gillette soccer special', wi` his dyed long unclean looking flea ridden mop of hair, him tucked up in leathers and grinning and carrying on as if he wasn`t a cowardly sodding prick. Poor disguise Gareth, you looked a cowardly sodding prick, but one tarted up as a sad w**ker trying to be cool. i turned the programme off.
I applaud Dane`s Dad for what he did, a proper Dad letting off steam at the shoddy, nasty treatment of his beloved son.
I wish Dane every bit of goodness, Ainsworth i wish a plague of porcupines nest oop his bloody arse
