It doesnt make sense to me
Why have we allocated Monty, Evans and Boggy prime numbers in the line up? I see Harry Maguire as the first choice centre back but Ertl keeps the number 6 shirt!
There is no number 7 which maybe for Kevin McDonald?
Matty Lowton wearing the number 2 shirt gives the impression he will be full-backl. A complete waste of talent IMO if that is to be the case. David McAllister has worn the captains arm band for the majority of pre-season but finds himself out at number 20.
Of course, players can request certain numbers and I may be reading too much into this, but my choice would have read
1 Simonsen 2 3 Lescinel 4 Lowton 5 Morgan 6 Maguire 7 Williamson 8 MaCallister 9 Slew 10 Porter 11 Flynn 12 Harriot 13 Long 14 Philliskirk 15 Tonne 16 Monty 17 Squinn 18 Cresswell 19 Aksahlu 20 Conneely 21 Ertl 22 Evans 23 Boggy
Doyle and Collins I would have waited to see if they noticed they hadn't got one and crosdsed that bridge when I got to it.......

We`ve allocated `em numbers simply because there`s a horrible, nasty evil chance they will be still with us for a while yet.
Come on someone take the midfield fluffer off our books so we can get a real midfield in.

Any suggestions Fred? I like the lad that is on trial. I said on another thread its been along time since we have had some height in that midfield! The last one with anything about him was Don Hutchinson!

He could be a good`un, certainly something that has been missing in our line up for what seems like an ice age. Williamson has promise, if he can stay injury free & stay away from being put out on the wing. Monty & Doyle are carthorses, McAlister has promise too, but we badly need someone who can remain injury free AND command that midfield with passing finesse & skill. The clog it on school of football has got us in the 3rd tier, we now need enterprise. Hope the lad lays well v. `pool, Danny has put the pressure on him....
Blades chief Danny Wilson insists Kevin McDonald must inject some magic into the Blades midfield tomorrow if he`s to win a contract at Bramall Lane.
McDonald is expected to play a part against Blackpool in tomorrow`s final pre-season friendly, and Wilson wants the former Burnley man to show what he can do on the ball.
"We`ve got a lot of similar players in that area of the team so I want to see Kevin show his range of passing.
We`ve got lads who can mix things up physically in there so what he`s got to do is stand out with the quality of his passes.
Kevin did well against Doncaster but I want to see more from him in terms of being positive and penetrating rather than just going for a safety-first ball. But that goes for the whole team - not just Kevin - because if you don`t take risks then you don`t get anything in this business."
Alex Kruk is also likely to feature in the game tomorrow.

We havent got anything in there, they cant mix up a bloody cake mix! We didnt get relegated for being too good after all. He is on his way out (Ched Evans) One way or another it would appear;- www.sufc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10418~2405918,00.html
