Blimey, i know we are short on bodies, but a 5 man middle including Lowe, Bash, Osborn & Norwood plys 2 kids up front isn`t going to give us a bundle of goals, not one in fact. A couple of decent Osula shots, the usual easy free header from an Egan header over the bar and that was about it.
Once Palace scored the game looked over sadly. Next week we`ll have Hamer and hopefully another middle man and a grown up forward. But lets see The Bbrazilian, Trusty and perhaps Slimane an`all (now that i`ve his spelling right ). Osborn does some nice things but is brushed aside when defending , not that the rest of the midfield today did much of that...
However let`s give Palace a round of applause for the liberal use of falling to the ground when lightly touched. The very safe way to grab a free kick apparently is now to fall down and grab the ball. Ref fell for it every time. I`m proud our lot don`t swan lake it , but maybe we have to join the dark art company of petulant premier stars.
Shame we didn`t have a fully fit squad and the 2 lads who left us back in the distant past, er, week. Me thinks Ndiaye could`ve had a field day against the Palace back line, certainly Osula worried them at times. but sigh , no use crying over spilt shit (the owners).
Get 2 more in well before the Forest match and we might be ok, but plaese don`t put out that middle again, it was so like the last time we were in the prem, filling round holes with square feet.
Forest, Luton, Everton , pigs lost etc.... and i doubt they were effected as badly as us for injury and late loss of talent.
Hopefully no excuses next week and we can wallop the headbutting, dog worrying manky gets down in Notts.
