1-1, 5-4 pens. through to the next round. that`s about it really, and really i suppose that`s all that matters.
Would have liked to have seen a few more changes to the line up, with maybe Slew, McAlister & Philliskirk given a start.
The pens were quite remarkable, Cressy may be passed it as a footballer, but he takes an ok pen, expected him to score but Collins & monty... thoroughly expected at least one if not both efforts to go backwards, & was quite relieved monty didn`t foul his sen in his run up.
phew!
a nice money spinner so we can bring in another proper footballer in the next round would be nice.

Cressy, collins, monty, lowton, philliskirk all scored, squinny missed
hartlepool 4 scored 2 missed
so by my maths, er, we won 25-8

I didn't see the match but the official site says 5-4 and lists the penalty takers

Who do we want in the next round? Anyone at home id say.
Good old piggies taking on Blackpool Thursday then having a nice long trip down to Yeovil on Saturday ;D

Alas no, they still hang monkeys up there apparently & i`m rather fond of peanuts.
I know it`s a touch arrogant but it`s hard to fathom that these weth little nothing clubs (hartlepool, rochdale, wednesday etc.) are on the same level as us now, or should i say, we`ve dropped to their level.
Thankyou very much to the 2 kevins, McCabe & blackwell!!!!. In todays gloomy financial & social climate the first should be jailed for wasting the clubs money & the latter for looting the shite from every other club in England.

Not forgetting the glorious Mr Birch, who's still here on a consultancy basis!
