Meanwhile, potential signings Kevin McDonald, Matt Duke and Alex Kruk have been briefed on the reasons behind United’s failure to offer them deals, Wilson has confirmed. The trio arrived on trial earlier this month but, speaking before last night’s game, Wilson admitted at least one more high earner must follow Darius Henderson, Mark Yeates and Jamie Ward through the exit door before they can be offered permanent contracts.
Their continued presence at the club suggests Wilson is keen to bring all three to Bramall Lane on a permanent basis.
We really are a bit of a laughing stock, sign up kozzy on an extended contract yet can`t sign up any of these three?. Worse still, if we are indeed to sign `em up then the likes of monty the wage wasting shadow chaser has to be sold along with his other mates of our all time toilet XI..... can`t we just put `em down or summat, or release `em/sack `em for misbehaviour, blimey cressy, monty, doyle, collins, taylor etc. have hardly proved that their job description of "footballer" was a correct one. any proper employer would remove `em without blinkin`.

It's frustrating, surely we can use the money brought in from sales to finance these three (or at least Kruk & McDonald) whilst we sort out the crap. Thing is I haven't heard of anybody actually being put on the transfer list yet. McCabe is going to lose these players for us just as he's lost at least one for us already.

Didn't the Blades Fans, years ago have a 'Blades Revival' thing where the fans part funded players coming in, if I remember rightly Glynn Hodges was part funded by it. Perhaps it might be resurrecting something like this.

Looks like a bit of common sense has prevailed... i say this, knowing that common sense & The Blades is only a foot-trip away from falling facedown in dogshit .... but McCabe & also Kevin MacDonald have shown some leeway toward signing.
Would be just what`s needed v. brentford, please no Monty/doyle subhuman wrestling fest

From what ive heard though Fred, McDonald wanted a "Championship" wage. He has had to reajust his expectations and we have acted accordingly. Of course, like any player if he receives a better offer he will be off, but for him to receive a better offer he has to be doing the business for United. Kruk on the other hand has been training with Preston but is now back in Germany. I dont beleieve Monty will ever leave. I think he is that bad, he is widely accepted as long as he runs around alot and tackles.

Its a real indication of how low our expectations are that a lot of fans actually like Monty and his silly knees bent running around and he even gets awards for it. Personally I'd rather fart in his general direction!
