Was trying to think of players who have played for both Blades and Saddlers over the years and the first one was midfielder Jeff King. Anyone know his whereabouts today? We had him from Derby. After us he played for both Sheffield clubs then lost track of him. He'd be about 58 now I'd guess.
I can recall Adrian Littlejohn and Derek Pace.
Anyone else we can think of??

Jeff King, a frustrating player, brilliant & crap all in a matter of minutes. Did ok in the season we had in the 4th, can`t remember much else apart from a famously horrendous own goal he scored against some grotty club that memory has thankfully obscured.
Can`t think of any other walsall/ Blades players, though there`s a few of our present squad i`d be happy for you to put in a bid for!!

You stalker GS!!
Jeff king....
I looked up his write up in the Blades "who`s who", poor bugger, it mentions the dreaded own goal, against reading it was. I`m sure he`d appreciate that being part of his CV!!. Says he went into painting & decorating after football.

Strangely enough he was accepted by Blades fans, even though he came from the Unclean and played in the Bo***g day match for them. Mr Curran on the other hand.......

He was at my cousins wedding in July. Good bloke.

I do hope Muttley that you aren`t suggesting Mr Curran was a nasty arrogant, shitheaded fizzle haired gippo
... he was much much worse than that.

The jammy miscued 25yard slice that plopped into the back of the net in the 1980 1-1 derby at the lane, gave him a deserved place in my all time top ten footballing b*****ds.
His pitch long race to slide in front of the the kop robbed me of all my loose change too, throwing coins never was my particular art.
He gave us a couple of good performances but hardly seen in the majority, scored 2 in front of watching everton scouts & then he was off quicker than Linford Christie with a V2 rocket up his arse. Good riddance.
