Good report that. With all due respect, if we are harboring any aspirations of going up, we have to win games like this. Ive seen United upset at home against teams we were supposed to win, like Millwall at home under Warnock (Bruce Dyer scoring both in a 2 nil win). I can see an unchanged team from the one that won at the weekend. I don't know how many people have noticed, but we have zilch cover for the back 4. There wasn't even one single replacement on the bench Saturday and no one in midfield strikes me as being able to slot in. A dodgy ref or a sending off for someone like Maguire and it could cost us dear. Watford did that to us in 2 seasons when Jags was sent off. Ive been speaking to someone in the club today and he reckons the lads are buzzing - they are waiting to be let off the leash! Porter and Flynn are back for selection from the team that won against Oldham but can they even make the bench? We need to keep this momentum going but not for one second think that we can win a match just by turning up. McDonald looks a power house in midfield, everything stemmed from him Saturday. Laing on the flank looks tricky and beat his defender with ease and Squinny has been player of the season thus far (did I just say that? ) Nothing is straight forward with United, but I fancy us tomorrow. I'm going to say 2 nil again, but I have a feeling something controversial may happen.

Cheers Golds. Matt has only just joined our writing team and just 17 yo. Yes I can imagine your boys are ready to go... we are just 6th but don't want to peak too soon! I honestly think you will walk away with the title. It will be interesting to see how Saddlers cope with the game.

Who can we look out for Sadlad? I know your freind says you have lost your two best players, or could have depending on the outcome of an appeal?

Yeah captain and centre back Andy Butler was sent off at Hartlepool last Saturday. We have appealed but won't know till 6 hours before KO! Adam Chambers was sent off the game before. Jon Macken and Will Grigg are the two strikers. Jonny Mac you will remember from Man City and PNE etc. Griggy just 19 and knocking on the door of the NI full team. We are not a tall team so if you have some giants you will win most of the stuff in the air.

I thought Walsall played very well tonight and were unlucky not to come away with something. Going 2 nil up gave us the kick up the arse we needed! The 2 goals were a bit fortunate but you have to get on with it.
The substitutions changed the game. Its saying alot in this League when we have still got the calibre of Lee Williamson to come on and spank one in!
Easily the best team we have played this season and the best of luck for the rest of the seson!
For me, thats what Bramall Lane is all about NEVER SAY DIE! ;D

The result thankfully leaves walsall in my good books, they were looking dastardly (no offence muttley) at 0-2 & Hurst was just bound to score, of course.
Thrilling comeback, Williamson has a touch of class that was injected at the right time.
Simmo back to his normal, brilliant one minute/cack the next.

Being so far away, could only watch the BBC Football teletext updates. At 2-0 down I was flapping about like a mad thing. At 2-2 I was somewhat happier, at 3-2 I was ecstatic, made more so by the Pigs result! Coming originally from Chesterfield, I was a little disappointed by their home loss to Preston, though I want them to lose against us! Greetings from a very cold but sunny winter's morning in New Zealand.

For sixty minutes Walsall showed us how football should be played and should have been out of site by half time. As expected the lack of goal keeping skill by Simmo was back on display. A little pressure and he's a liability. One of the reasons why we got relegated last season. Luckily for once his mistakes didn't cost us a game but we keep him net we will lose five or six games because of his presence. Credit to Wilson he took of another waste of money Mondick or whatever he is called and put on simmo which changed the game. Doyle surprisingly helped in this. For 20 minutes we played the best football for sometime in complete contrast of total shite before. Got three goals and then sat back allowing simmo to flap and scare the faithful. Walsall genuine promotion candidates on this showing. United need to get rid of the last season left overs to make any lasting push plus mondick needs go as he's a waste of resources.

Morning folks. Firstly thanks very much for those kind words about WFC. That first half was amazing. At one point on chances created it was 10-2 Walsall according to one radio station. But we all know what happens when you don't put them away. Your keeper made a terrific first half save knocking Jon Macken's well struck shot onto the woodwork for a corner. That is the best football we've played in a long while. Dreamland when we went 2-0 up and the chances still happening. Then Saddlers suddenly started dropping off and allowing United far too much space. As soon as United got one back the writing was on the wall. Sheff Utd showed what a good side they are and it was a terrific comeback. We had some bad luck up our end second half when a deflected shot hit the post and again your keeper made a good save to tip one over the bar. The feeling I have after seeing that was one of immense pride . Sheff Utd will be back in the Championship next season and rightly so. Well done and good luck for the rest of the season.

Thanks Sadlad. Nice to have this kind of rapport between two sets of fans! Willkeep an eye on your results now for the rest of the season. As you may appreciate, living in New Zealand, we have to rely on radio and BBC teletext, plus the "occasional" live match on the computer, if we can get it!

He's a good player him.
He might not have taken the world by storm last night but your comments are harsh. On that basis, Wayne Rooney should never play again after last years World Cup!
Why did we keep watering the pitch incidentally???

We keep watering the pitch make sure players fall over and get booked. Plus it ensures the pitch cuts up. Too be honest I can't see any reason why they do this. I'll bet they stop when one of ours slips and does himself in for the season.
If the pitch needs watering water it in the morning not during the game.
Somehow over Mendick after ten games I think you'll agree with me. If I'm wrong I'm more than happy to say so don't worry about that.
I remember people telling me Simmo was a good keeper when I didn't want us to sign him and what happened?
The guy combined with Nosworthy made enough gaffs to cost us games. At the end of the day you can't blame players for being constantly picked that's the managers fault.
Come to that I didn't want Nosworthy back either.
