The w**k years 1960 onward
relegations i have suffered...
`68 , but the team wasn`t too bad, just 3 players short of a return which we made superbly in `71
`76 , team gettin` old, no decent reserves, massive emmigration to the 3rd world (USA). `orrible watching but with TC & Woody there were some gems to be found amongst the shitheap
`79, Harry bloody haslam, big smile on his face, non on ours, sells Edwards pre-season, down to the third tier
`81 Harry bloody haslam, martin bloody peters, how can a team with a plus goal difference get relegated, criminal stuff. Thank goodness for Bobby Hatton
`88, back to the 3rd, under McEwens lite, we were never going to survive with 10 pieces of wood & a Beagrie back flip, horrendous watching, Sir Dave couldn`t save us with that lot, but a clear out at the seasons end brought back hope
`94, down from the prem, thank you Mr Brearley for selling Deano at his peak, it may have paid of some creditors but it ended up costing a whole lot more.
`07, Colin`s 9-0-1 tactics & a few cheating b*****ds in jolly cockney geezer (ie: complete t**ts) land
`11.... hmmmm
Despite all those shite seasons, at the end of each there was some hope that the team was showing something for the following season & there seemed hope for a swift return. Now, i see non of that, feel no optimism at all under the present structure.
Either we scrape out of this mess & stay up & let Micky have a clean sheet (not looking likely)
or we put the boat out & get someone to manage next year like the lambert lad who`s done wonders at norwich, someone with a record of playing football & success.
If we get relegated & keep the present structure plus players like cresswell, monty & the rest of the cloggers, then we are sinking into the abyss with hope of no return. season tickets will plummet & only the FA, west ham & followers of the porcine pricks at s6 will be happy.
