I was eternally refreshed yesterday to see that Ferguson's lot of sometimes-misfiring superstars could bring it upon themselves to raise above the tedious and fortunate (how Vidic stays on the pitch during games like that would be possibly one the dour faced cock-hole could elaborate upon, maybe?) and actually beat Trevor Brookings Very Own (TM) West Ham United after going down 2-0 at half time. Let's not take away the fact that the match itself showed what a shower of bobbar WHU have in their back four (Upson ... for England? Yeah. So is Nosworthy ... ) and that Rooney is a superlative striker and w**ker in the same breath, but on bare facts that a few years ago these Olympians, having got the season sewn up, put in a flaccid showing against TBVOWHU with the striker they then 'purchased' from them scoring the very goal (ha, what defending, eh?) that committed us to where we are, right now.
Okay, many will say, 'if you'd have won more games, you'd have stayed up', which in itself is a glibly-put truth and there is not a Blade who will deny that. It smarts a bit that Kosluk's goal at Upton Park was valid and those points would have mattered, and countless other misfortunes we had that season go undocumented. Some might say that Nade should have had a penalty and other games could have gone our way, like Liverpool at the Lane and Danny Webber's post-hit versus Wigan. Thems the breaks (although I can't recall us getting much luck, if I think about it). But aside from the actual illegality of TBVOWHU's actions, the fact they were kept in the PL by rite and not by virtue and we have yet to se anyof the so-called 'compensation' payments make an impact shows what a crock of shit the PL is, and how incestuous an entity the FA can be when it comes to their fashionable, 'workin' clarse, mate' east London teams who have some sort of 'legacy' (i.e. Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst played for them) attached.
Lets also not go and chunder too much about Sheffield's legacy to Association Football, and how their two teams are now forgotten echoes struggling to keep their heads above water. As much as I despise the f**king pigs with a passion near-on hatred, I would hate to see them slip lower than where they are, because it will (these days) be a long, hard journey to get back to where they (spit) and us (COYRAWW) will enjoy 30,000 fans screaming at each other and Lord Michael Brown volleying in a 25 yard thunderbolt past teh despairing hands of fatty Pressman again.
Shame on Man U, and shame on West Ham.
